2024 OBC Update: Transition Timeline

As per the transition rules identified in Ontario Regulation 163/24, the current 2012 OBC will continue to apply to projects for which a building permit has been issued on or before December 31, 2024 (see below excerpt, with emphasis added by MGA). 

This is contrary to previously released information from the Ministry (as well as historical transition wording), which identifies that the transition rule relates to the date on which projects apply for a building permit.
