Fire Code 2017-10-21T19:06:31+00:00

The Ontario Fire Code is largely an existing building document, but includes some requirements that apply to new construction which outlines prescriptive minimum requirements for which the owner of an existing building is legally responsible. As well, the OFC provides Objectives and Functional Statements related to the prescriptive requirements, from which alternative solutions can be derived.

MGA is experienced in navigating the prescriptive OFC and its national counterpart, the National Fire Code of Canada (NFC) requirements, as well as establishing objective-based design options to provide cost-effective and innovative solutions to complex fire and life safety issues.
