Building Code 2017-10-21T19:05:14+00:00

The Ontario Building Code (OBC) outlines prescriptive minimum requirements for new construction, renovation projects, and changes of use in an existing building. As well, the OBC provides Objectives and Functional Statements related to the prescriptive requirements, from which alternative solutions can be derived.

MGA is experienced in navigating the prescriptive OBC; and its national counterpart, the National Building Code of Canada requirements, as well as establishing objective-based design options to provide cost-effective and innovative solutions that address complex fire and life safety issues.
